Linuj Work Update
On June 16th, Linuj updated his tistory: progress has not been made on the Omake. Since SDRA2 ended, he has been working on "Chrono Ark" a video game "inspired by the Danganronpa series."
It is not his own game, he is a "scenario writer" for it, though he was brought on to work for the team due to his experience with the Another Series. He has confirmed it is unlikely he will work on the omake until his work is done for Chrono Ark, and has used this to reaffirm that the Another Series is done, and the omake is simply a bonus; additionally, he said from here on out, he should be known for his work on Chrono Ark, not SDRA.
Speculation: This, along with his stating questions are still open to be emailed to him, makes me a bit worried. With how much he emphasized that SDRA was over, as well as the tone of the update, I fear the omake may be the last official SDRA content we receive from Linuj, and that he won't be updating his tistory any further with other holiday/anniversary art, etc. However, that is only my speculation based off one post.
Linujs email is firstname.lastname@example.org, and here is his tistory
Update: The first time Linuj is listed as a writer for Chrono Ark is in an update released the same day Linuj made his post. It's unclear if this is the day Linuj was first brought on as a writer.

Yeah LINUJ is one of the scenario writers for Chrono Ark which is a Roguelike Card Builder game. That's why Omake Mode has taken a backseat so to speak. I'm just glad that the skills he learnt from making the Another series are now moving onto help with original titles.
//Yeah, I saw! I’m curious to see that’s like ^^

VnC Plot Theories and Questions
Here are some of my ideas and questions about the VnC plot. There’s going to be part 2, in which I’d like to explore the connections of VnC universe to the real one and how that affects the plot (spoiler: greatly). I’m relatively new to the fandom and don’t know if all those points have been already discussed so feel free to give me links and - discuss! That’s what this post is for, I’m dying to talk about all this!
SPOILERS UP TO CHAPER 51
- How long ago did the Babel incident happen? What century at least? Chloe was waiting in her castle for several hundreds of years. The 15-16th century, like the time when the real Paracelsus lived?
- Queen Faustina, Naenia, The Vampire of the Blue Moon, Jeanne.
What is exactly the vampire queen? Is she the first vampire of the crimson moon? Her power is endless, only her counselors have a succession (Luca and his predecessors). The queen honestly looks way more like a local goddess rather than an actual queen: she’s one and only, any vampire cherishes her like a deity and will go feral if someone’s impolite regarding her as if it was a heresy.
Is she even a ‘she’?
As far as I understand, Neania is a Malnomen of Queen Faustina, the queen who forgot herself and is acting upon her curse. Right now it’s her who distorts the names. However, there’s a question: the curse-bearers have happened way before the outbreak Vanitas is investigating atm, and as far as we know, the queen disappeared at the same time the outbreak occurred. So, who was distorting the names before Naenia? How long does she exist at all? Was Faustina cursed way before her disappearance but the symptoms were kept at bay until the council couldn’t manage it anymore? According to the fairytale, the curses are Luna’s fault but we never saw them doing any of this. Unless they have sort of a split personality or a curse themselves?
As we know, Luna is neither male nor female (which made me think of Bathomet but I’ll get to it later), they didn’t know who and what they were, until they did and regretted it dearly. We also know Noe thinks the Queen and Luna look very much alike. And when we saw the queen’s hand atop of her blanket in her bedroom while Luka was by her side, that hand was pitch black and looked just like the VotBM one.
That was the first part of the mystery.
The second part is that the Queen looked very young when her physical form stabilized.
We know she was tried to get rid of - her body was demolished and her spirit (???) - or whatever was left - became Naenia. I’m not sure whether Naenia is corporeal or not, but she becomes one when stabilized and all this time she is in such a severe pain that she doesn’t want to get back to this world. She doesn’t want to remember herself and the way she died.
Why exactly was she killed?
Anyway, she must not be brought back at any cost either. Vanitas mentioned that if she comes back, there won’t be neither a vampire nor a human to overcome her. Besides, all the vampires felt when she reappeared. Did they feel her dying?
I wonder if she’s some sort of a bee queen. (I hope not, I really got enough of that with the Pandemonium in Chrono Crusade.)
However, whe know exactly who killed her: Ruthven, Veronica de Sade and Luca’s older brother (who seemed to play an important role in this mission and bore the most of the backfire, and I wonder why the safest place for Luka is beside him now?). Probably all other members of the council took their part in this, too.
So the Queen is not to be brought back, but Lord Ruthven tries to bring SOME queen into this world anyway. Someone with long fair hair just like hers is growing in a glass vessel at his lab.
And, as we know, Jeanne also got out of some glass vessel just like this one. And she had very long fair hair, too. I wonder why didn’t anyone there notice the similarities… how often do the vampires see their queen again?
Ruthven keeps Jeanne within his sight and even saved her from being executed when everyone wanted to. He’s obviously trying to use her, but in what way?
To cut the long story short, I think there was smth terribly wrong with Faustina - so wrong they had to kill her or at least weaken her as much as possible. But the vampires worship her like a Goddess, so she had to be present one way or another, the council couldn’t keep what happened to her a secret forever. So they needed a replacement, and that’s what Ruthven is working on. A clone? That explains his sponsorship of Dr. Moreau’s experiments.
And Jeanne’s one of the failed ones. Or is she? Maybe she was let out on purpose?
- What did Ruthven teach his students? He honestly looked more like a messiah in a cult rather than a scientist and a teacher.
- What order did he give to Jeanne?
- Looks like his ‘curses’ orders cause a bloodthirst just like Naenia’s ones, although way weaker. Which makes me wonder: does any strong vampire have an ability for such curses? If so, why just the VotBM was hated and feared for it? And how old is Ruthven?
- Where did the VotBM fairytale come from? Who created it? Ruthven reminds me of Jack Vessalius a lot by his place in the plot (remember how Jack fabricated the prophecy?). He’s everyone’s hero and a very shady person in reality. He used to have the best intentions and beliefs, like Noe, and was disappointed in them - however, this didn’t stop him from finishing the war between the humanity and the vampires and bringing peace to them. He looks like someone who’ll do everything and anything for what he believes in and sets as his aim, and I wonder what the aim is. I can’t help thinking it’s something grand and ‘for everyone’s sake’ in his POV but can play out pretty terrible for actual people. I think he cares for the vampires - and maybe for the humanity as well - but may go too far in it and forget his morals (he already had to in order to get to the top of society and gain some power).
- I strongly suspect Naenia aka Faustina, the Teacher and Luna are closely connected. In what way though? I wonder if Paracelsus is going to turn out to be a composite image after all.
- Also I see the reflection of those three in Jeanne, Noe and Vanitas and that makes me think back to the Sablier and the Riverra’s trios.
- Vampire rampages. Yes, the vampires were ostracized and feared when the Babel has just happened, later there was the hunt and a war. BUT. They’re long over. There’s Lord Orloc to control vamps now, and humans consider them a fairytale.
Astolpho and Vanitas’ families were killed no more than about a decade ago though. And there wasn’t just one crazy cursebearer - no, according to the fate of Astolpho’s sister, there was an organized group of vamps sane enough to keep their ‘food’ alive for some time. They were laughing and talking. They behaved like people - not like mad beasts. What were those vampires then?
- What happened on THAT DAY?
- What happened to Michael and who’s his err supporter? Ruthven again? Or Marquis Machina, judging by Michael’s hand?
- What is Charlatan? Looks like this isn't just Naenia. Does its carnival exist in reality or is it just an illusion in the victim’s head since it comes and goes so fast and seemingly out of nowhere?
- Why did the Teacher need Noe? What role is set for the Archiviste?
- Where did the Archiviste go? Were they all killed? Why and by whom?
- I have a feeling in the end someone will try to bring the world to its natural order and either lock or erase the world of formulas, so that there are no vampires anymore, everyone’s back to being human. And someone’s going to be left in that locked world - Vanitas. Remember he has to be touching a vampire to cross between the worlds and Noe can’t forgive himself for the fact that he didn't grab Vanitas’ hand? (I’ll repeat as much as I have to - I don’t believe he’ll settle with this when his whole ark is “I can’t save anyone I want to save, I can’t change anything”. Unless… but later.)
- Why are Vanitas’ memories forbidden to be read? Is it because they’re Lunas as well and they knew something crucial about the world order? Did Ruthven try to get to the same knowledge through Faustina? He also needed Chloe’s world changing machine - why when he’s such a strong vampire himself? How much does he want to change in the world if his power alone is not enough? Is it the queen - or the world itself?

✣ *:･ﾟ✧┆THE FOUR ARCHANGELS OF KHAENRI’AH, THE LAST BOUGH KEEPER STANDING
This has become more of a lore post than a headcanon post, inspired by this post explaining how the abyssal sigils on Mona’s astrolabe reference the four main archangels of biblical myth: Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael. This lore post also makes links to other biblical mythos, norse mythology, as well as the key elements of Gnosticism which is heavily referred to in the game itself. This in itself is Gen.shin’s “creation” myth, also drawing staple tropes from Gen.shin’s “sister” game, Hon.kai Impact.
THIS IS NOT A THEORY POST. PERSONALS DO NOT REBLOG.
✧ THE CHRONO TREE AND THE QUANTUM SEA
Since the birth of time itself, a cosmic tree was at war with the ever consuming sea around it. This cosmic tree, known to a few as the “Chrono Tree”, is not only the source of all life throughout the universe, but is an infinite font of knowledge. The Chrono Tree birthed an array of “bubble universes” upon its boughs, and is able to see into infinite timelines of this world via its “leylines”: the celestial flow of time, connected by veins from its boughs to the source of time in its trunk. In the endless conflict between space and time, was a force of fate established. Known to some worldlines as “Hon.kai”, this celestial force was created by the Quantum Sea seeks to suppress the growth of the Chrono Tree, and acts as balance of destruction to infinite creation. Anyone who can harness the full powers of either the Chrono Tree or the “Hon.kai” produced by the Quantum Sea, is said to be able to destroy existence itself.
✧ THE BOUGH KEEPERS, THE GUARDIANS OF THE CHRONO TREE
Thus was it decided, that the Chrono Tree required guardians, to not only protect world order, but to prevent the knowledge of the Chrono Tree and the power of the Quantum Sea falling into the wrong hands. From one of its branches, were the four “Bough Keepers” born: Mikhail Alberich, Gabriel Scheriac, Eurielle Kaslana, and Raphael Apocalypse. Humanoid in appearance, all of these guardians were in fact archangels, and were birthed to watch over the newborn humanity.
Each archangel fulfils a certain role: Mikhail as the “king”, Gabriel as the “priest”, Eurielle as the “knight”, and Raphael as the “bishop”. From the foundations of their respective roles, was society founded. Mikhail, the designated king, was assigned to lead humanity. Gabriel, the designated priest, was tasked to teach humanity. Eurielle, the designated knight, was tasked to defend humanity. And finally Raphael, the designated bishop, was tasked to empower humanity. Mikhail founded the kingdom of “Khaenri’ah” and established himself as leader of the human race. Eurielle founded the “Abyss Order”: royal guards who serve to protect the king and the World Tree. Raphael developed the “Art of Khemia” and taught humanity how to harness their true power. And Gabriel planted “Irminsul” ( extensions of the Chrono Tree ) throughout Khaenri’ah, in order to spread its knowledge.
✧ THE CALL OF THE ABYSS, THE FALL OF THE KING
The kingdom of Khaenri’ah was thriving. Thanks to the wisdom of the Bough Keepers, humanity was abundant with knowledge and prided themselves in technological advancements. Whilst humanity was seemingly sated with their erudition, there were a few amongst the Bough Keepers whose curiosity got the better of them.
Mikhail was the first to submit to mortal temptation. Approaching the Chrono Tree in secret, Mikhail hung himself from the its boughs for nine days and nine nights, in order to gain knowledge of other worlds. In equal parts blessing and punishment, Mikhail gained the ability to see into infinite timelines across the worlds in the tree: at the cost of his right eye. Returning to Khaenri’ah with his abyssal eye concealed, the archangel king continued to watch over humanity, the other Bough Keepers oblivious to newfound knowledge close to Mikhail’s chest.
Mikhail eventually fell in love with a human woman, and the two gave birth to a son. It was then when the other Bough Keepers realised Mikhail’s transgressions, for the son was born with his father’s abyssal eye. Mikhail reassured the other Bough Keepers that he had gifted-- not cursed-- humanity with his knowledge. However, the forbidden spread of otherworldly knowledge led to the forces of fate intervening. Hon.kai beasts emerged from the Quantum Sea and unleashed themselves onto Khaenri’ah, massacring humanity. In an effort to right his sins and save mankind, Mikhail offers himself as sacrifice, and is promptly slain by the Hon.kai. Whilst this divine reckoning would dissuade those pursuing the same knowledge, it only piqued the curiosity of two other archangels...
✧ A DEAD LEGACY, THE BOUGH KEEPERS’ HUBRIS
Mikhail’s corpse was embedded in the trunk of the Chrono Tree by Gabriel, as a reminder of what Mihkail sacrificed. In further tribute to the fallen Mikhail, Gabriel decides to go by the name ‘Dainsleif’-- aka “Dead Legacy”, and devoted himself to protecting the half-angel monarchy alongside Eurielle. Shaken by the loss of their friend, the three remaining archangels approached the Chrono Tree, seeking guidance about the Hon.kai and about leading humanity without its patron archangel. The Chrono Tree had only told them that Hon.kai was an impossible force to suppress, and acted only when humanity-- and even the archangels themselves-- sought both immeasurable power and knowledge.
Eons passed, and despite the sacrifice of Mikhail, the curiosity of the Hon.kai grew insatiable. Eurielle was the next to cave into temptation, traversing the boughs that Mihkail hung himself from. There, Eurielle witnessed a phenomenon: the very forces of fate that were unleashed upon Khaenri’ah eons prior, were able to turn mortals into god-like beings. She also witnessed a future whereby an equivalent of herself would rise as supreme God. The knowledge of the Chrono Tree was no longer enough for Eurielle... she now sought the immeasurable power of the Quantum Sea.
Unbeknownst to Eurielle, Raphael had followed her through the Chrono Tree, witnessing the same lifelines as her. He saw his own equivalent harness the power of the Hon.kai and instil it in humans, with the belief of fighting fire with fire. If humans were able to control the Hon.kai, then humanity could very well rise up against the forces of fate, walking on the same path as humans. Raphael returned from the Chrono Tree unscathed, deliberating how to not only harness the Hon.kai and incorporate it into the Art of Khemia, but to also summon the Hon.kai in the first place. It was at this point where Raphael adopted the alias ‘Gold’ in order to conduct Hon.kai experiments on humanity under the radar of his fellow archangels.
✧ THE WARNINGS OF RAPHAEL, THE REBELLION OF EURIELLE
Meanwhile, Dainsleif assumes the role of advisor to the new king of Khaenri’ah-- Mikhail’s son-- warning the heir of the dangers of wielding immeasurable knowledge. Thus marked the start of the Alberich dynasty amongst mortals. Each Alberich king and queen from this point forward would be born with the blood of the archangel and Mikhail’s abyssal eye. Dainsleif would continue advising each successor, training them in the use of their Chrono powers, whilst being oblivious to the schemes of his fellow archangels. Dainsleif’s sole priority was protecting the humanity as intended by their creation.
Eventually, Gold approaches Dainsleif, telling him of his exploits into harnessing Hon.kai energy. Gold proves that humanity is capable of rising up against the Hon.kai that killed their friend Mikhail all those eons ago. Dainsleif immediately expresses his disapproval-- not only harnessing such a dangerous force, but to experiment on the humans they were supposed to protect. Gold remains adamant that he is empowering humanity and hints to Dainsleif that Eurielle had far more malicious intentions.
Eurielle overhears this, concluding that Gold must have also traversed the Chrono Tree as she had done. Her hubris is only multiplied, believing humanity as it stands to be cursed by Gold’s erudition, and only she wielded the knowledge and power to forge the perfect humanity. Thus did that mark the day Eurielle betrayed her fellow Bough Keepers, forsaking her archangel name along with everything her role represented. "Asmoday” no longer sought to defend humanity, but to rule over it.
✧ THE FOUNDATIONS OF FALSEHOOD, THE CREATION OF TEYVAT
A few humans under the Abyss Order, particularly those loyal to Eurielle, were skeptical of the new king’s capabilities and the increasing corruption of Gold. Trusting in their patron archangel, they follow Asmoday into the new reality of Teyvat: an “ark” of her own creation, afloat in the Quantum Sea. The traitorous faction of the Abyss Order aided Asmoday in shaping the ark, making it inhabitable for humanity. Asmoday herself chose not to live amongst the humans as she had once done in the Abyss, priding herself in her new godly status. Thus did she forge a palace in the false heavens, under the name of “Celestia”.
In mimicry of the Herrschers she witnessed in the Chrono Tree, Asmoday creates a plethora of lesser gods. These lesser gods catalysed the development of Teyvat and took factions of humanity under their wings. Amongst these gods, did primordial monsters also emerge: one of the many side effects of forging a false reality. Thus did these gods safeguard humanity from these primordial beasts, and became the norm within Teyvat. All the while, Asmoday watched her world flourish from her seat in Celestia.
The humans still knew the source of all worldly knowledge lies in the Abyss, as learnt from their forefathers, and thus did they appoint a chief priest to journey back to Khaenri’ah to gain knowledge from the Irminsul. The cycle would thus continue, with a new chief priest being appointed where the previous would fail. Over time, the humans grew to forget the true origins of Teyvat and Celestia, and even the existence of Asmoday herself (now known as the ‘Unknown God’). Naturally, each priest would fail to find knowledge of a world built on falsehood. Celestia was a lie, and the Irminsul only spoke the truth.
✧ THE HEIRS OF FALSE REALITY, THE SEARCH FOR THE GENESIS PEARL
In a similar notion to those brave humans, did Asmoday also deliberate venturing back into the Abyss. Indeed, did she achieve the same divine power as her Herrscher equivalent... but she had sacrificed her connection to the Chrono Tree as a result. She no longer had access to unlimited knowledge as she did as a Bough Keeper. She also knew that the passage of time in Teyvat was much slower than that of the Abyss, due to both its unnatural creation and distance from the Chrono Tree. The leylines did not run as deeply throughout Teyvat, and the development of humanity’s knowledge (and thus, its civilisation) was much slower.
Thus, did Asmoday create two heirs to her legacy: twins in her image, by the names of Aether and Lumine. These twins were each tasked to descend into the Abyss, to grant her access to what she codenamed “The Genesis Pearl”-- aka the Chrono Tree’s full knowledge. As a part of this mission, were the twins also tasked in killing the two archangels that threatened her legacy: not only Gold, but Dainsleif in particular, who was the most diligent guardian of the tree’s knowledge.
The youngest of the two twins, Lumine, descended into Khaenri’ah first. No sooner did Aether follow, after his sister failed to return. There, did Aether discover that Lumine had found Dainsleif. Before Aether could kill Dainsleif as instructed by Asmoday, Dainsleif imparted the knowledge they were seeking. Namely, the truth of Teyvat’s creation: that it was built upon falsehood, and that Asmoday sought universal domination. Should Asmoday’s schemes go unchecked, she will ascend as the “Herrscher of the End”, destroyer of worlds. The lesser gods were blind to Asmoday’s plans, and Dainsleif could not pursue Asmoday in the fear of leaving the Chrono Tree unguarded to both Gold and Asmoday.
Only Lumine and Aether were equipped with the knowledge and power to defeat the Unknown God. Dainsleif instructed the twins to travel along the Chrono Tree’s boughs, to learn of the Herrschers and the powers Asmoday was trying to emulate. Once they deem themselves ready, should they return to Teyvat to defeat the Asmoday once and for all.
✧ THE SEVEN SWORDS OF CELESTIA, THE ARCHON WAR
With the twins’ prolonged absence, did Asmoday suspect that her creations failed her, or worse: had sided with Dainsleif. Over time, did Asmoday also notice the fruits of Gold’s experimentation emerge from Teyvat’s soils, abyssal monsters threatening the humanity she ruled over. Asmoday decided that she needed a legion of warrior gods, to wage war upon the Abyss: in order to suppress Gold’s creations, and the one obstacle between her and the Chrono Tree.
Thus, did seven divine seats upon in Celestia. Gods chosen to ascend to Celestia would be given a reward: a ‘Gnosis’, a core of pure Hon.kai energy, forged in a similar fashion to the Herrschers’ God Keys. The chosen gods would also be given the title of ‘Archon’, and would not only rule over an allocated realm of Teyvat, but also served as Asmoday’s champions in the looming war between Teyvat and Khaenri’ah.
The lesser gods, greedy for power, declared war on each other in order to gain a seat in Celestia. These wars between titans came to be known collectively as the ‘Archon War’. Many of the gods perished, some were sealed, and even fewer prevailed. Lesser gods who survived and failed to ascend to Celestia, fled into the surrounding Quantum Sea: either being corrupted by the Hon.kai, or being consumed by them entirely.
✧ THE MACHINATIONS OF GOLD, THE FALL OF KHAENRI’AH
Five hundred years before the present day, Gold’s experimentation of Khaenri’ahns had reached its peak. Gold had fashioned an array of beasts of all levels of strength, with the Hon.kai as the primary source of their power. Gold did not see these experimentation as failures: but rather, as evidence of the true capabilities of humanity. Gold unleashed his creations onto Teyvat, with the intention of destroying the Archons Asmoday had crowned. The abyssal creations succeeded in places, slaying the Dendro Archon of the time.
Whilst the soldiers of the Abyss waged war on the Archons, did Asmoday decide to retaliate personally. Thus did she descend into the Abyss, seeking to destroy the kingdom of Khaenri’ah. A second war thus ensued: between Gold’s eldritch mutations, and the might of the Unknown God. Throughout the calamity, did Dainsleif take up his mantle of the Twilight Sword once more, ushering the ruling king of the time, Ragna Alberich, to safety: along with his son Kaeya. Ragna’s wife and queen of Khaenri’ah, Kavikha Shakti, chose to stay behind to defend her kingdom. Alas, along with thousands of innocents, was the queen slain by Asmoday. Throughout the conflict, did Gold escape unscathed: retreating into the depths of the Quantum Sea. His fate is currently unknown.
✧ THE RETURN OF ADAM AND EVE, THE CELESTIAL DIVIDE
By this time, Aether and Lumine had successfully gained knowledge of the otherworldly powers Asmoday was wielding... but they arrived too late. Arriving in the aftermath of the cataclysm, they barely reached Celestia before being intercepted by the Unknown God. Disowning the twins for their betrayal, Asmoday claimed them to be “outlanders”, and sought to stop them on their journey to defeat her. Meanwhile, Aether and Lumine had been gone for so long, they lost all memory of “Asmoday” they were seeking: merely that she had to be destroyed.
Whilst they now antagonised her, Asmoday still deemed the twins valuable enough to be kept alive. After all, they were the only ones beside Dainsleif, who wielded otherworldly knowledge only accessible via the Chrono Tree. Thus, did Asmoday put a seal on them both, separating the two in order to extract their powers and knowledge. Once she had stripped her children of these, did she send both twins into alternate timelines: with the aim of neither reuniting and remembering the mission Dainsleif gave them. One twin was sent five hundred years into the past. Meanwhile, the other twin was sent five hundred years into the future, along with a fragment of Asmoday’s essence. This sentient fragment, self-named “Paimon”, acts as Asmoday’s “all seeing eye”, ensuring that not only Teyvat remains standing, but that the traveller does not stray from their predetermined path.
✧ THE CHRONO’S TREE’S DECREE, THE DAWN OF DIVINE PROPHECY
Dainsleif led Ragna and Kaeya to the safety of the Chrono Tree, seeking its guidance in stopping Asmoday. The Chrono Tree had advised that the “son of Mihkail” was to play a pivotal role in the Archons’ dismantlement, whilst “Adam and Eve” was responsible in deposing their creator: the betrayer angel Eurielle. The other betrayer angel, Raphael, was also at large. Through the Chrono Tree, Dainsleif also learnt that Asmoday had confronted the twins Lumine and Aether, and had split them both five hundred years into the past and future respectively.
Receiving this extent of knowledge did not come without its consequences. The forces of fate, Hon.kai, infect Dainsleif and begin devouring his soul, turning his will into cosmic leviathan known as the “World Serpent”. In a last attempt to salvage his humanity, Dainsleif bound his soul to the Chrono Tree, balancing the consuming quantum with the temporal forces within the leylines. The Hon.kai corruption ceased, the scars of his curse evident in right side of his body. Dainsleif had made a pact with the Chrono Tree, to serve as its avatar in eliminating Teyvat: in exchange for his humanity. Failure to suppress the ‘Unknown God’ from becoming the Herrscher of the End, and the dormant Will of the Hon.kai will be unleashed, turning him into the World Serpent. Thus did Dainsleif become a failsafe to the Chrono Tree’s prophecy.
✧ THE SEARCH FOR ADAM AND EVE
Dainsleif and Ragna decided to find each Celestial twin, with the aid of the few surviving Abyss Order members still loyal to the crown. Dainsleif would travel into the past in search of Lumine, whilst Ragna would take Kaeya and travel to the future in search of Aether. Dainsleif was successful in his endeavours, finding Lumine five hundred years before the fall of Khaenri’ah as the Chrono Tree informed. There, Dainsleif and Lumine travelled Teyvat, Lumine’s memories and powers recovering over time. Right at the start of the cataclysm, did Dainsleif and Lumine return to their original time.
Meanwhile, Ragna had arrived in Teyvat twenty years too early. With the aid of his guards, Ragna trawled through Teyvat in search of Aether. Kaeya, physically aged three, remained oblivious to his father’s plans. Nine years of investigation later, and there was still no sign of Aether arriving. Especially noting how quick the passage of time was in the Abyss compared to Teyvat, Ragna was concerned about leaving Khaenri’ah unchecked for too long. Asmoday could very well have invaded Khaenri’ah again during his and Dainsleif’s absence, seizing control of the Chrono Tree despite Dainsleif’s soul being physically bound to it.
Thus did Ragna make a drastic decision. Now twelve years of age physically, Kaeya was deemed old enough to understand the full extent of his role of Mikhail’s successor, and his mission to depose the gods. Placing a firm hand on Kaeya’s shoulder, Ragna told Kaeya he was “our last hope”, before disappearing back into the leylines, returning to his original time.
✧ THE RISE OF THE NEW ABYSS ORDER
Dainsleif immediately dissented the king’s decision to abandon Kaeya, to which Ragna justified that Kaeya would also find Aether. At this point, Lumine volunteered to travel forward in time to search for her brother and to watch over Kaeya. Dainsleif and Ragna agreed, allowing the Celestial twin to travel five hundred years into the future, to the same timeline as Aether.
Meanwhile, Ragna had sworn himself to finding the other betrayal angel, Gold: especially noting the calamity he was capable of. Gold was just as much of a threat to the integrity of the world as Asmoday, both of them abusing the power of Hon.kai in equal proportion. Thus did Ragna journey deep into the Quantum Sea in pursuit of the wayward alchemist, with the intention of bringing Gold back either alive or dead. Like Gold, the fate of Ragna is currently unknown.
Lumine successfully arrives five hundred years into the future, liaising with the Abyss Order of the present day. There did she learn that the Abyss Order was left without a monarch since the day she left, and had since established an alliance with Gold’s mutations. Even the most senior members of the Abyss Order had submitted to the power of the Hon.kai, sacrificing their humanity in exchange for its immeasurable strength. Explaining her origins and proving herself to the Abyss Order, was Lumine thus instated as the de facto “monarch” in the absence of both Ragna and the lost prince Kaeya. Discovering that Aether had also lost both his powers and his memories, Lumine decides to wait until Aether remembers his true purpose and has recovered his true strength. Only then, will Lumine face Aether once again, and return to defeat their creator as Dainsleif originally instructed.
“Until the Abyss has engulfed the thrones, my war with destiny will see no end.”
✧ THE WORLD SERPENT’S PRINCIPLE
Dainsleif watches the Celestial twins’ progress from the Chrono Tree, as well as Kaeya’s upbringing. Meanwhile, both the Archons and Asmoday were growing in power, and the World Serpent could no longer stay in wait. Thus did Dainsleif also emerge, searching for Kaeya to inform him of the impeding Khaenri’ahn war, and to also cleanse the Abyss Order of the same corruption that the Chrono Tree is attempting to unroot. How could he possibly demand the defeat of a Hon.kai god, whilst allowing creatures born from Hon.kai run amok?
Alas, the curse in his veins was still existent, the blood pact he made still a knife over his head. Should the Bough Keeper and the Celestial twins fail in defeating Asmoday, will Dainsleif be forced to “defy the world with the power from beyond”: the Hon.kai energy that will turn him into the world destroying serpent. The humanity he was striving to protect, will fall with the betrayer god.
✧ SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS
✧ All existence in the universe was born from the “Chrono Tree” (the tree of life, time and knowledge), and the surrounding “Quantum Sea” (the sea of destruction, fate and power) acts as its balance. - The Chrono Tree is another name for the “Imaginary Tree” in Hon.kai Impact. Similarly, the Quantum Sea is the “Sea of Quanta”. - The Chrono Tree is both a parallel to Yggdrasil, the tree of life and knowledge in Norse mythology, as well as “The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil” in the Biblical Genesis myth. - The Quantum Sea is also what’s referred in game as the “dark seas” surrounding Teyvat.
✧ The Chrono Tree births four "Bough Keepers” (archangels) to protect it, named after the four main archangels of Biblical myth: Gabriel, Raphael, Mikhail (Michael), and Eurielle (Uriel). - Gabriel-- aka Dainsleif-- is known as the “angel of revelation” and the “chief of angelic guards” as per Paradise Lost, hence why he also plays the role of the knight. - Mikhail-- aka the role Kaeya inherits, is known as the “prince of heavenly lost”, a clear reference to how he ends up being the lost prince of Khaenri’ah. In Biblical passage “Daniel”, Daniel is also warned that Michael will arise “during the time of the end”, a clear reference to Kaeya’s role.
✧ They also parallel the four stags in the norse mythological tree Yggdrasil: Dainn (Dainsleif), Dvalinn (Mikhail / Kaeya), Duneyrr (Asmoday / Unknown God), and Duraþrór (Gold) - Dainn (meaning ‘dead one’), is something Dainsleif’s name clearly references. - Dvalinn (meaning ‘unconscious one’) is a reference to Kaeya’s role as the dormant prince, as well as his fate to be raised in Mondstadt. - Duneyrr (meaning ‘thundering in the ear’) is a reference to Asmoday’s tyranny. - Duraþrór (meaning ‘thriving slumber’) is a reference to Gold’s lying in wait following the fall of Khaenri’ah, and how he is “thriving” on the power of the Hon.kai.
✧ Bar Mikhail’s role of king, each angel is also named after an equivalent role in Hon.kai Impact: Gabriel being a Scheriac (priest/ess), Raphael being an Apocalypse (bishop), and Eurielle being a Kaslana (knight). - Eurielle being a Kaslana is also a reference to how she looks visually like Kiana Kaslana, the main protagonist of Hon.kai Impact, who also turns into a Hon.kai god. - Raphael being an Apocalypse is also a reference to his motives being extremely similar to that of Otto Apocalypse, who I canon he also looks like. Otto means “wealthy” in German, and Gold is a universal symbol of wealth.
✧ The four Bough Keepers heavily parallel the Four Winds of Mondstadt. Mikhail’s role of king is passed down to each successor, the same as the role of the Lion of the South. Furthermore, this is also linked to how there is an implied link between Anemo and Time, as per the scripture on the ruins near the Thousand Winds Temple.
✧ Dainsleif, Gold and Asmoday approaching the Chrono Tree following Mikhail’s death and the invasion of the Hon.kai, parallels how in the Book of Watchers, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel approached God requesting divine intervention during the reign of the fallen watchers.
✧ Mikhail hanging himself from the boughs of the Chrono Tree for knowledge, and him gaining an omniscient eye, is a reference to how the norse god Odin hung himself from Yggdrasil, also because he sought knowledge.
✧ Teyvat means “ark” in Hebrew, which is a reference to the Genesis flood narrative. In Biblical myth, Uriel was the angel sent by God to warn Noah of the coming cataclysm. Rather than warn mankind however, Asmoday birthed the ark herself, amid the Quantum Sea.
✧ Asmoday’s creation of Teyvat and the system of Archons is a heavy reference to Gnosticism. - Asmoday takes the role of “demiurge”, aka the creator of the physical world and the “false god”. The demiurge is also known as “Yahweh”, who is also responsible for creating Adam and Eve (Lumine and Aether). The name “Ashmedai” (aka Asmoday), also appears as a false god in 2 Kings 17:30, who the mortals idolised. - In Gnosticism, there are seven servants of the demiurge known as “archons”: these parallel to the seven seats in Celestia that Asmoday created. The lost “God of Time” in Gen.shin is actually Asmoday herself, because of her residual Chrono powers from her role as a Bough Keeper. - Kaeya and Dainsleif take up the role of Christ and the Holy Spirit respectively: the “saviour Aeons” tasked by the true God (the “Monad”, aka the Chrono Tree) to save humanity from the demiurge. - Kaeya taking the role of Christ is also a parallel to his role of Michael (Mikhail), as many Christian factions also claim that Michael is synonymous to Jesus.
✧ Lumine and Aether’s arc parallels the Genesis myth of Adam and Eve. I analyse this parallel in more detail here and here.
✧ Dainsleif’s role as the World Serpent is a reference to how he’s the serpent of knowledge in the Genesis myth, as well as the norse mythological beast Jormungandr, aka the “Midgard Serpent”, who is said to start Ragnarok (“Judgement Day” that led to the death of prominent gods in Norse mythos) as soon as it releases its tail. - Dainsleif’s constellation is also translated as “snake ring constellation”, aka ouroboros, which Jormungandr is a symbol of. I analyse this in more detail here.

Then if you don't mind, could you write a scenario/headcanon where Chisaki has one of those rare days in which he is super clingy and needy for affection? (Even if he is a clean freak I like the idea of him being all needy when it comes to his s/o)
yES THAT'S THE SHIT! SHITTY NEEDY BASTARD WANTING AFFECTION FROM THE ONLY ONE THAT HE LOVE
Chisaki by no means is the type of partner who is constantly at your side 24 hours at day... Not only he has always something to do but he always was strange and opposed to any touch at all.
When you started a relationship with him it nearly took one month and a half for this bastard to hold your hand... But what could you do about? Love is blind, mute and dumb; but you had pacience for this man to start getting more comfortable with you around.
All the wait was certainly so worth it! Chisaki little by little learns how to exactly express his feelings towards you and even allowing himself to lower his guard just for him to hear your kind and encouraging words. Definitely you couldn't be more in love with the yakusa boss, even despite his mysophobia...
Well, speaking of that, there are extremely rare days where Kai is a little... down, and needs some trustful company... which leds to right now, which you are really concerned that he was catched by a quirk, catched a virus or even it wasn't him at all...(toga get the fuck out of here)
Chisaki Kai, the young leader of Shie Hassaikai; was right behind you, with his face burried in your neck, arms tightly wrapped around your waist... Making impossible for you to leave the bed to meet a old friend who had asked if you maybe could catch up...
"Kai, are you okay? Are you feeling sick or something?" You asked in concern looking at your side for only to see a amount of dark brow hair slightly tickling your nose.
He didn't say a single word, opting to just tighten his embrace as he nodded inhaling deeply your scent.
"My love, as much I love this new found of affection I am really worried about you..." your gaze meet the digital clock on the night stand and you notice that probably your friend is going to murder you "Kai, I'm sorry but I need to go-" he mumbled some incorrent words while nuzzling your neck slightly with his covered mask.
"What was that dear?"
"I said-" he lifted his head to rest his chin on your shouder "Why is this meeting between you two so important? I'm sure your friend is going to understand if you told her that you had way more importants things to do..."
Oh god, if you didn't know him you would totally tell that he was pouting by hearing his voice... This was too good to be true.
"But Kai" you giggled "I don't have anything to do today, that's why I accept the offer."
"... Chrono can't accompany you, so is better if you stay..."
"Actually this is way better, more privacy to us both, you know? Only girls talk? Kurono would probably come back asking you for kill him after this..." both of you laughed at the supposed scene and you thought that he lowered his hold a little for you to go but when you tried to get away he pulled you back, almost sitting on his lap.
"Kai c'mon!" You laughes as you squirmed in his hold "I'm going to be late!"
"Angel I took the day off." He suddenly blantly spoke, hugging you tighter "I... don't know why but, I feel... weird." He spoke in seriousness now nuzzling once more in your neck.
"Weird? How weird?" You caressed slightly his hair with one hand and you felt him shiver at the moment.
"This weird..." he referred to his shuvering "...could you possibly do that again?" You suspiciously carresed his now toned back up and down and your jaw almost drooped when you heard Chisaki emiting a sound similiar to a purr.
What in all hell has happened to him? Where's your Kai?
"See?" He spoke now in a certain tone of worry "I... for some reason I want... more of this... for dear lord have I gotten myself infected?" Nope, there it was the Kai you know and love.
You giggled hopeless, making Chisaki look at you questionably with one of his perfect eyebrows arked.
You approach your hand near his black mask and asked before could happen any reactions of his that you might regret later.
"Can I take it off?" His eyes widened a bit, expressing a look of uncertain and doubt, but still nooded a few seconds after.
Gently you slided his mask down to his chin, showing his all face in display and in pure glory... you slide your fingers delicately making some alleatory imaginary figures on his face and each time you felt the common shiver of his...
You grabbed his face carefully and in a risky gesture, kissed between his eyebrows quickly. As soon as you retreated your face from his, you saw immediately the way Chisaki's golden eyes were open wide and his lips slightly parted...
He stared at you for a few seconds; you felt like eternity because like 'boi im going to die but it was worth it; trying to find any words to speak.
He bringed one of his gloved hands near him, and with only the indicator and middle finger, touched the place where your lips were in contact with his skin.
His face was burning, this feeling was overwhelming, scary... but he wanted more...
"Do it again." He demanded, returning his hand to wrap tightly around your waist along with the other as he patiently waited.
Surprised at this command, you hesitantly pressed your lips against his right cheek; and even before getting away; he repeated "again." You couldn't contain your smile anymore after this...
You kissed gently every part of his face except the one he so craved for... When you retreated your lips from his forehead you notice that his eyes were closed in pure bliss and you just couldn't miss an opportunity like that...
You kissed his lips, making the fearless yakusa boss open in shock his eyes and his heartbeat accelerate in a catastrophic way. Even being the place he craved your lips, it still catched him off of guard.
He hesitantly returned your kiss, holding you tight against his frame. He had to contain the urge to whine when you separated... god what was happening to him?
"What is this?" He spoked serious... his eyes filled with deep wonder and confusion "I... apologies angel I have no idea what-"
"It's okay love." You spoke sweetly prompting a tiny smirk on his lips "Everyone feels a little touch starved sometimes, even if they have mysophobia..." you mocked.
He slowly rested his head against in the crook of your neck, trying to reason this whole situation, but the warm emitting from your body was so... comforting that he got lost in a state of pure bliss, even not knowing, smiling peacefully.
Well that was until your damn phone started to ring it...
"Ah dammit! I forgot about (F/N)!" You said attempting to move your hand from your boyfriend's hair to your cellphone.
"No." Chisaki simply said as he quickly grabbed your phone and thrown it away dangerously to the end of the bed.
"KAI THAT COULD'VE HAD BROKEN-!" You stopped dead on your tracks when Chisaki groaned in your neck and grabbed your hand, returning it to his head.
"I don't even know your friend but I already despise them, such a pest..." he closed his eyes and buffed through his nose.
You smiled sheepish as you returned to run your fingers through his hair; your friend that forgived you later but you were sure that you weren't getting out of his grasp that soon. You didn't see any trouble at all.
Needy Overhaul huh? You definitely can get used to that.

Blood of Zeus pre-final thoughts.
Spoilers ahead? I guess.
1. Hera to giants: I need you to help me kill Zeus.
Girl, haven’t you just kind of... done it? Who was that stabbing Zeus in the neck then? Isn’t he already dead? (Who woulda thought gods are so easy to kill) (edit: he wasn’t and it isn’t)
2. Hera to giants: Help me and I’m gonna make sea yours again!
Poseidon in the background be like:
Not to be siding with Zeus, but he warned you, ma dude
3. I assume we are going into the civil war state?
4. I kinda shipped Seraphim with Hera? A little. Also, a side note: Hera should have cheated on Zeus with all of his hot ‘bastard’ children 🤷♀️ At least that’d be more pleasant... for her. Lol. (I really really really hate cheating and cheating storylines, but this one may possibly the only one case where I could have overlooked it. Because Zeus is a fuckboy asshole 🤷♀️)
5. Hera is kinda psychotic. Thinking that giants will not find a way to go around cauldron powers and that anyone could hold that kind of power position for long? Hilarious and extremely presumptuous. It would have been so funny if her butt was kicked by giants right as she raised them.
6. Solving your marital problems by going into war and involving absolutely everyone around in your shit and dirty laundry? I hated Zeus for a very long time before this tv series, but Hera is honestly not that much better.
7. Hera, darling, is that dick really worth it? I highly doubt it 😒 Pls follow my advice and just find yourself a boy/girltoys and live your life to the full, honey.
8. Justice for Seraphim. Really, the boy got the worst of it. Some may argue and say that Heron got the short end of the stick too and it didn’t turn him into a monster. Please keep in mind that Heron still had his loving mother and support of his father, even if he didn’t know it was him at the time. Seraphim had no one. I have no idea how much has to be done in order to create a believable redemption ark for him, but if they did, that would be the most epic thing ever.
9. If Seraphim is to die, I really wish he just got extremely angry at being a pawn in gods hands and cooperated with Heron crew, cause he saw how completely out of it Hera is. However, I have a feeling we are looking at Kain and Abel situation here and that makes me really sad.
P.S. A couple of episodes back Zeus told this sob story how he grew up without a father (believe me, I know about the Chronos or whatever is his name shit that went down) and how this is why he was never good at being a father. YOU GOT SIX CHILDREN BORN OUT OF WEDLOCK BEFORE HERON EVEN CAME AROUND AND THEN SOME WITH HERA TOO!!! You’ve had more than enough time to practice, you just really didn’t want to. And why is that you were pretty not half bad at parenting when you were pretending to be an old man??? This does not add up, man.
P.P.S. Apollo is really really hot and I totally get why everyone’s thirsting over him (I’m not an exception.. ahem), but DAMN. Hermes, please call me on Friday when I’m free on Friday so that we could meet up on Friday when I’m free on Friday. What the hell! This dude is totally my dream man. In officially a part of simping over Hermès squad.
Edit: NOOOOO! Ma man Hermès just agreed to go on a suicide mission!!!!!!!! Ma boi! Be safe 😭
It’s Heron? Phew. I’m really sorry, but like, as long as ma bois Hermès and Apollo are fine, idc 😅

i think i like Chrono Ark a bit, after toying around.
It’s fucking hard as shit though, and tbh it seems to be held together by paperclips as impressive as it looks, because it takes up GPU like a motherfucker.

Omens Universe, Chapter 2 Part 2
Link to next part at the end.
Chapter 2, cont.
Where am I?
White. Nothing but a clean, white void.
Aziraphale blinked, slowly. He was standing, which meant he had legs. Good to know.
Infinite whiteness stretched in every direction. He looked up. No ceiling. He stood on something solid, but suspected if he looked down, he would only see blank white space.
He had a vague sense that everything was fine, and a nagging underlying fear that it wasn’t. He peered over his shoulder. He got the dim impression of a pack of bodies behind him, all human-sized, more or less, but blurry as shadows.
He turned back around, and saw he had arrived at a desk. A stack of forms was in front of him, filled out already in his handwriting.
Nearly done, a bored voice said. No-one spoke the words aloud. They were projected straight into his head. It felt like his brain was vibrating at an uncomfortable frequency.
He looked down again and saw a pen in his hand. He signed his name on the form at the top of the stack. It gave a gentle chime and disappeared. He assumed he should keep going, so he signed the next one down. Each fresh page recorded his name and vanished to the aether.
That was a long queue, wasn’t it? he said. It seemed rude not to make conversation.
Forty days and forty nights, said the bored voice.
Aziraphale had somehow already reached the bottom of the pile of forms. When he signed the last one, his signature glowed white before vanishing, leaving an afterimage on his retinas.
The desk melted away. The sterile white bubble around him faded.
Sudden panic gripped him. Where am I? he tried again, but the room shrunk to nothing, and he ascended
He opened his eyes. It was painfully bright. He realised it was his own body, glowing like metal in a mold before it cooled and settled into its new form.
The light faded. He touched down gently on something solid.
He was on a flat, wide plain. It smelled of ozone and mud, and was squishy underfoot. It was the floodplain, he realised - only it wasn’t flooded any more. Just a bit damp. Piles of driftwood and debris littered the landscape. A nagging wind sighed among the dunes, doing a feeble job of drying them out.
Aziraphale’s gaze drifted to his right and took in an unwelcome sight.
“Ah,” he said, guiltily.
“Aziraphale.” The Archangel Gabriel gave him a once-over. “You’re back.”
“Yes.” Aziraphale patted himself down. His clothing had updated itself. The turban was a bit daring. As he took inventory, he remembered selecting each article of clothing as if from a dream. “Sorry, everything’s a bit fuzzy…”
Despite his brand new body, he still felt as though he were turning up late for a staff meeting covered in a patina of sand. Gabriel seemed even taller and squarer-jawed than when Aziraphale last saw him. His gem was in his right eye. It regarded Aziraphale with a blank, unsettling scrutiny. The iris was opaque, lavender, and cut in the shape of a diamond.
“You didn’t make it back to the ark,” Gabriel said.
“No. I was discorporated.”
Everything returned to Aziraphale in one cold jolt. The humans. Crawly. The unspeakable thing they did. He pasted on a smile. Gabriel returned one that was equally fake.
“Well, not to worry. We reassigned the others to cover your duties. I’m sure you’ll make it up to them somehow.”
Aziraphale winced. “Right. Good-o.”
“Just be a little more careful next time? Remember, your corporation is a gift from the Almighty.”
Gabriel’s even teeth gleamed in the wan sunlight. They were the whitest, cleanest thing on the floodplain. They gave Aziraphale a headache.
“It seemed to take a long time - my reformation,” he blurted. “Any reason for that?”
There was a barely noticeable pause.
“We were busy with admin,” Gabriel said, smoothly. “For the Flood? Your application must have got pushed to the back of the queue.”
“I see,” Aziraphale said, stonily.
Gabriel smiled once more, with the bored quality that meant this conversation would draw to a close now. “OK, keep up the good work! Bye.”
He put his hands together in prayer. A choir sang out a rising chord, and with a flash of light, he ascended to Heaven.
Aziraphale did not flip him off. He wiped some gunk off his gem instead.
He looked around at the mostly dried-out desert and tried to get his bearings. Everywhere was damp stretches of sand as far as the eye could see.
He picked a direction at random and started walking.
He didn’t get far before someone called out to him. “Hey! Angel!”
Aziraphale stopped. He had kept trying to think where the nearest settlement was, then remembering they were all gone. He was in no mood for a confrontation. He let Crawly catch up to him, anyway.
The demon looked the same as when Aziraphale last saw him. He hadn’t been discorporated, then.
“Found you!” Crawly tried to fall into step beside Aziraphale. He had to awkwardly jog in place instead when Aziraphale didn’t move.
“Well-spotted,” Aziraphale replied, flatly.
If Crawly noticed the lack of friendliness, he bulldozed on, regardless. “I must have flown over the same bit of ocean fifty times. At least, I assume it was the same bit. Not a lot of landmarks. Where have you been? I only came back this way because some idiot beamed down with the whole trumpets and bolts of fire routine. Should have known it was Gabriel, he wouldn’t know inconspicuous if it threw him a parade. Which it wouldn’t, that’s the whole point of being inconspicuous...”
He trailed off. A frosty silence settled upon them.
Crawly coughed. “Something wrong?”
Aziraphale felt suddenly furious. He rounded on Crawly. “What the hell was that back there?”
Crawly blinked. “Back -? You mean…?” He did an impression with his hands of two supernatural beings combining into a single larger one.
“What else would I mean?”
Crawly blinked again, slower. “And… you’re… upset?”
Crawly squinted at him, like he was genuinely trying to comprehend. “So you are. Doesn’t suit you.”
“You have no idea what suits me. We hardly know each other.” This was surely true. Aziraphale had acquaintances in Heaven from before time officially began. Not that their interactions had ever been deep. Crawly was nothing to him.
Crawly just scoffed. “I spent six hours riding to head office with you while you moaned about your head falling off, I think I know you pretty well. OK, fine,” he said quickly, as Aziraphale turned to leave. “Let’s start again. Angel. I’m glad to see you. I’ve been looking all over for you. We need to talk. Or get drunk, or something.”
“I will not get drunk with you, Crawly. You’re the enemy. I’m not suicidal.”
“Wow. Fine then, we can talk sober.”
“There’s nothing to talk about!”
“Are you joking?” Crawly gestured with both arms, as if the amount of disbelief in his body needed to be physically ejected. “Back there, in the Flood, we - we fused!”
Aziraphale whipped around, half-expecting one of his supervisors to descend from on high to smite them both. “Keep your voice down!” he hissed.
Crawly ignored him. “We turned into a giant superpowered thing with a shield and wings everywhere and amazing hair. And you don’t want to talk about it?”
Sense memory rolled over Aziraphale. For a moment he was huge and powerful and streaking through raindrops over a roiling sea. Crawly was right, their hair was amazing.
He shook himself. “You’ve gone mad. Fusing? We’re supposed to be on opposite sides!”
“But don’t you see what this means? If angels and demons can fuse, it changes everything. Maybe there shouldn’t even be sides!”
Aziraphale looked into the demon’s gleaming eyes. He shivered.
“Of course there needs to be sides,” he said, automatically.
Crawly glared at him. The anger rose in the angel again. How dare Crawly do this? When the Earth was only a thousand years old, and needed him, needed Heaven’s guidance?
“You chose a side.” Aziraphale’s voice got stronger. “You rebelled. You tempt people. You’re tempting me. If I can fuse with you, I must be doing something very wrong.”
Hurt flashed on Crawly’s face. Aziraphale hardened his heart.
“I think it best we avoid each other for the rest of our time on Earth,” he said.
Crawly made a noise of disbelief. “Avoid each other? How? We’re on assignment to thwart each other.”
The bitterness in Crawly’s voice was painful. Aziraphale soldiered on. “Consider it a non-interference policy. Keep to our assignments and mind our own business.”
“So I sow infernal wiles while you spread peace and light on the other side of the river?” Crawly gave a hollow laugh. “Hell of an arrangement.”
“Call it whatever you like.” Aziraphale pulled his freshly altered robes around himself and brushed off imaginary particles of grit. “Just stay away from me.”
Crawly fell back. Aziraphale looked everywhere but at his face. He turned on his heel and marched away across the soggy plain.
 It was quite impressive.
For him, this was a lot of blinking.
Squelched, really, but that undermined the solemnity of the moment.

TERRANIGMA ~SNES~ 1995
For some games, it was no wonder why they never saw the light of day in America. For others, it was a true shame. Terranigma was the latter.
There are hardly words to express how wonderful and captivating this game is. A lost brother in the tides of Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, and Secret of Mana. Terranigma is simply beautiful. A treasure from beginning to end.
The hero, Ark, must leave the comfort of his village and essentially resurrect the world from darkness and decay, one task at a time.
The world is lush and vibrant. Capturing the SNES in all it's glory. I found myself more and more eager to traverse each area and find out what awaited me. A top quality soundtrack pushes you on towards new and magical places.
Personally, the real time fighting aspect is always a welcome change. You don't feel bogged down and the game feels more free flowing. There are plenty of nifty little moves to keep you happy.
Bosses provide a fair share of challenge along your journey. Did I mention that they are simply legit cool?
A peculiar yet interesting twist. You dive into a box to access your items, equip, etc. It adds another layer of charm to the gameplay. Pop out of the box and continue on.
I felt engaged for hours. From wandering villanous towers, to scaling unforgiving cliffs, and to every beautiful crack in between. I couldn't help but wish I had been young again. To experience this tale in real time. I can only imagine the joy that would have consumed me. Or was I already too far into guitar and weed at that point? I doubt it.
Thank the stars that all of us can easily dive into Terranigma today still. I highly recommend that you do.

Which Beyblade Burst bey avatar do you think is the coolest?
Ohh man, my heart says Wyvern just because that’s my favourite and it looks so sleek tbh, but it’s actually a tough draw between Wild Wyvern, Lost Longinus, Ark Bahamut, and Hell Salamander, bahaha. I’d probably have a different answer out of those four depending on which day you ask me lmao
I love so many of the bey spirits that it’s ridiculously hard to pick an absolute favourite tbh xdcfvcfdcfhb almost all of them have like, SOMETHING Weird and Unique about them that’s A+++
Wild Wyvern has a flame pattern on its wing membrane, and the cone-shaped thing in the middle of it’s head that’s spraying fire out looks almost mechanical instead of organic somehow? idk what that shape is reminding me of specifically, maybe some kind of engine or exhaust vent
Lost Longinus has a flaming blue mohawk that matches Lui’s hair and that was like the best thing ever, also there are those glowing blue stripes/indentations on its legs and between the scales of its neck/chest that may or may not indicate that the insides of this dragon are glowing bright blue like it’s full of that fire, and just. Name origin. “Longinus” is the name of the guy who stabbed Jesus with a spear. Hence Lost Longinus’s tail spear. Lost Longinus is like, a dragon-ified biblical weapon. Does this imply that Shuu is Beyblade Jesus??
Ark Bahamut’s wings – aside from the membranes being weird iridescent scaly things that may be entirely illusory and made of light rather than actual flesh, which is Fucking Cool by itself – sort of…twist open in a grotesque way? Like, the wing fingers are twirled together like twizzlers before they open up, and they look briefly almost like DNA helixes while they’re peeling open, before the shiny membrane things materialize. You can see the flesh pulling apart like putty. I was going frame-by-frame through the animation for Art Reasons when I noticed it and I was like yooooooo
Hell Salamander just looks really cool. It’s made of hot pink fire/lava and its black scales/armor/whatever look almost like leather biker gear or something [not to mention, they match Suoh’s coat, which also seems to be leather sxdcfdcf], and the white scales/armor/whatever look like they’re made out of bone [its got claws and horns that are the same colour, made of the same stuff]. So, like…Ghost Rider Dragon. Also I appreciate how Salamander came to exist in the anime, and how it promptly burned a scribble into Suoh’s face as thanks for being created hgfdssdffghgf She’s So Dramatic
Screencaps to show what I’m talking about bc I’m bad at words:
Wyvern’s fire tattoos [last section of wing, near the edge]:
And many Honorable Mentions under the cut because All Bey Spirits Are Cool:
Valkyrie has six eyes for no reason at all except to look cool, and is also two bey spirits in one bey because horse dcfvcfvhgb [gee Valt, how come your mom lets you have TWO bitbeasts??]
Storm Spriggan has Wolverine claws on the gauntlets on its arms, also for no reason at all except to look cool bc Spriggan already has Actual Claws too dfgcdfggh
Legend Spriggan looks Especially Cool when it does the thing where the black spiky parts of its wings are interlocked together, and then they open up
Spriggan Requiem has an AXE
Ragnaruk looks a little like Baphomet
Deathscyther has BATS. It summons a swarm of BATS when it comes out. Also just, everything else is cool too lmao it’s the grim reaper except dressed for a blacklight rave party
Kaiser Kerbeus has SCALES like a DRAGON and also wears an eyepatch. A Good Boy all around.
Hazard Kerbeus is uhhhhhhh some kind of radioactive mutated creature and he is also a Good Boy sxdcfvdfh
Multiple parts of Zeus’s body are made of what look like plasma balls. Y'know, those desktop toys that put on a cool light show and react to your fingertips when you touch em.
Unicorn would not look out of place in Robot Unicorn Attack
Yggdrasil has fucking plasma cannons
Quetzalcoatl has what appear to be stitches on the sides of its mouth [again, I was going through the animation frame-by-frame for Art Reasons lmao] and KNIVES ON THE TIPS OF ITS WINGS. Also it’s got a hood like a cobra but its body is flat like a Chrysopelea flying snake [they flatten their bodies out to catch air and “glide” around up in the trees] and if that was an intentional design choice then it’s a Really Nice Touch bc Quetzalcoatl is Quite Literally A Flying Snake lmao
Jormungand has TWO HEADS and NO EYES and that is amazing
Kreis Satan is SATAN, TRAPPED IN A PLASTIC TOP. He has claws on his wings, and carries a bright blue-and-yellow plastic fork. Lucifer is on vacation from Hell and decided this was more interesting than screwing around in Los Angeles or playing the fiddle in Georgia and he was right and I respect him.
Drain Fafnir has TWELVE EYES. TWELVE OF THEM. Three sets on its face, three sets on its chest. Faf, donate some of those eyes to Jormungand. ALSO I need to say I really love Fafnir even if it’s not quite one of my favourite designs because Requiem Nightmare Faf tried to fucking vore Shuu once and that was the funniest goddamn thing ever asxdcfcxdf
Geist Fafnir has a bright purple mouth. Love it.
Deep Chaos is made out of gnarled, twisted flesh and is evidently hollow inside, judging by its weird tentacle hands. Clio and his pet eldritch abomination needed VASTLY more screentime tbh.
Alter Chronos exists precisely at the crossroads of steampunk and technopunk and if that’s not one of the Best Aesthetics Ever then idk what is
Beat Kukulcan is made of plasma compressed into the vague shape of a bird, and then dressed up for the circus. All hail Clown King Kurz and his majestic bitbeast that will summon an instant blue-lighting thunderstorm if you piss him off. Easily one of the best tbh – if Wild Wyvern, Lost Longinus, Ark Bahamut, and Hell Salamander are my Top 4, then Beat Kukulcan is in the Top 5.
Twin Nemesis has a hammer that appears to be made out of raw flesh and teeth.
Z Achilles’ looks like one of those action figures made out of cheap bright plastic and his helmet looks like a pompadour shaped like an upside-down A. Somebody make me a Z Achilles action figure and take my fucking money.
Emperor Forneus is a SHARK MADE OUT OF KNIVES. KNIFESHARK. HOLY FUCK.
Bloody Longinus just looks Good, idk. Took a page from Salamander’s book and seems to be wearing BONE ARMOR, also trying to compete with Drain Fafnir for Number Of Eyeballs On Body. Got two sets of eyes on face. Got a set of eyes on each wing, set in weird bird-skull-looking things. Got a set of eyes on each arm, set in DRAGON-SKULL-SHAPED ARMOR PLATES. Now Longinus, too, has TWELVE EYBALLS. TWELVE OF THEM.
Leopard is a dragoncat made out of knives and teeth and it will shoot ball lightning at you
Revive Phoenix is a Giant Fucking Fireball compressed into the vague shape of a bird, and that Extra Intense Bright Light in the middle of its body is Concerning because it makes it look like rP is building up to Literally Fucking Explode At Any Moment. Also the Bird-Shaped Fireball turns an evil pretty purple colour sometimes and that’s great.
Dead Hades is just COOL. YOOOOOO it’s some kind of insectoid creature judging by the six segmented bug legs, and that billowy brown cloak thing it’s wearing might actually be a couple of sets of tattered leathery wings. This fantastically horrifying creature was taken from us too soon, rip.
Orb Egis is a floating scorpion-tailed hydra with necks made out of rainbow holo plasma ig. It’s…*single tear* so beautiful………
Dead Phoenix makes me SO MAD because it SHOULD NOT EXIST but it looks SO FUCKING BADASS. It’s everything rP was except 500% more Goth and Metal now. hhhhhhhh
#*wHEEZE* BITBEASTS...I LOVE THEM.....SO MUCH................#BeyBurst#Beyblade Burst#Beyblade Burst God#Beyblade Burst Chouzetsu#Tagging because my joy cannot be contained within my own blog alone. My Tumblr would explode.#CK replies

Yugioh S3 Ep 18: Noah’s Dad Decides he Doesn’t Love His Son Anymore When Noah Gets Way Too Into Petz Hexing
I was hanging out with Bro and he made me look at a lot of bad Yugi wigs that were 600 dollars each, and because only like...4 good Yugi wigs exist in the world, I decided to help him get out that Yugi itch in a healthier way, by copy editing these posts and fixing the way I spell Gozaburo wrong about 400 more times before this arc ends.
So last we left off, Noah decided to reference that one part of the Bible he knows.
He’s gonna change the playing field to kind of run through the history of the Earth, showing us that in every period of history his outfit was never acceptable.
Also he got the history a...little bit wrong. You had to have people before Noah’s ark but...whatever. I took astrology, there’s a lot about planet formation we’re still kind of guessing on, so do whatever you feel like, Yugioh. It’s not like any kids watching this got real pissy about how Noah was totally botching the Archean period.
He also decides to dump on us how he got so smart. See, Kaiba got smart by studying a lot, surrounding himself with people way dumber than him, and then just bossing everyone around him until they agreed with him that he was very smart. In Noah’s case, it’s because he’s literally a computer.
I’m really glad I get to find another anime that’s all ham about this tree. In this case just slapping it on there for a few seconds, long enough for me to say “WHAT THE HELL, KIDS SHOW?” before it vanishes again.
Good on you, Noah. You just...casually slipped that in there.
Ah, but unfortunately, the AI who is like...not even human and is *pretty sure* He’s Noah Kaiba is still kind of attached to his Dad. Maybe it was a part of his core code that he couldn’t reject his Father? I dunno, just seems weird that he achieved enlightenment and was like “So uh...I guess I’ll play cards and take over a mindless corporation. Good use of my time.”
(read more under the cut)
Kaiba’s reaction to hearing that his brother stores all of human knowledge was “well, it can’t possibly be that difficult. I’ve done way more than that. I have a homeschool degree and half a high school diploma so go to Hell, bro.”
Yo how many people would sit down, turn to their computer, and just start shouting at their core processor about how they’re waaaay smarter than it? Remember that during this entire conversation, Kaiba is shouting at a literal computer.
So anyway, we finally get to see why they bothered showing us spider room a few episodes back. Youknow, that room with the baby in it? Turns out...there was never a baby in this room, since Noah was a kid when he first woke up here.
Before it was covered in spiders, it was covered in blue and off white. This is a very boring Martha Stewart room in different shades of robin eggshell. You can tell this kid is a Kaiba because oh boy that is a...really boring 50 yo housewife look, ain’t it?
I’m sure it’s symbolic for the fact he is hella dead and innocent at this point but like...every time we see Kaiba interior design it’s just the last type of design you expect from this high octane family.
Anyway, Noah’s kind of surprised to be awake because, last he remembers, he was very much hit by a car.
Ya, I mean, if you have to tell your son you Frankenstiened him into a horrible crime against humanity, might as well tell him as quickly and bluntly as possible, I guess.
Anyway, because Noah existing breaks the most basic moral human laws in every country on Earth, they kinda can’t let him go anywhere, which means that to prevent the loneliness, Kaiba gives him...a pet?
So Noah and the dogcat decide to travel through Domino and realized very quickly that there were only like...five NPC’s. There’s like an ice cream girl, and like a couple walking people, and that’s about it.
Noah’s words were something like “man this place is full of glitches!” because his dogcat wouldn’t stop barking and he threw a rock at it and it didn’t care. Glitches.
I guess it’s one way to look at it?
It feels like Noah got somewhat cursed like Pharaoh did, just a little bit. Like not completely it’s just that I can’t help but notice both are trapped in some sort of basic geometry shape--Pharaoh’s is a pyramid and Noah’s is an orb, and both have untold superpowers matched with some heavy depression that goes with having said superpowers. Not to mention, both have a host body all set up for possession, it’s just Kaiba is a little bit youknow...unwilling to participate. They’re very different obviously it’s just...way to trap your characters in shapes.
Anyway, last episode I felt like maybe Noah liked being an orb, this episode he’s made it a little more clear that it is kind of not great being an orb...but only because he can’t throw any rocks at dogs or have real conversations with anyone but his own Dad.
Anyway, Noah got a little bored. So his Dad sent him to virtual Mars.
And now Noah only finds joy in hacking his digital pet. Relatable.
Now I know a good chunk of you are my age--that good Jenna Marbles age--and will know exactly what I am referring to, as for the rest of you, turning your digital pet into a hell creation was just a thing we all did in year 2000ish. All of us did this.
And I was like “I bet you, that someone out there has made a robot Hex, I guarantee” because I spent...I want to say 2 years of my life downloading modded breedz of Catz 4? I even tried to do it myself but I wasn’t any good at it because I was super young and bad at computers, I never actually got Robbie William’s Millennium as a Catz meow (though trust me, I did try. It was my life’s dream when I was small.)
But the closest I found to a Robot Petz was this?
Dang. Look at that thing. This one is actually pretty good because it does resemble an animal. I admire it a lot. Trust me, I spent like days moving my bunniez feet around trying to make a dragon and just ended up downloading someone else's dragon.
And then, from the same page I saw this gem right above it.
....I freakin love this period of the internet so freakin much. I was only ever really a part of a couple of fandoms as a child and the Petz fandom will forever hold a little part of my heart. I mean, look at this. What’s not to love?
Like, Catz is probably number 3 on my list of best games ever made. Not so much because the game was any good, but because none of the files were protected in any way so even kids like me could hack in there and make the weirdest abominations and post them all to their Angelfire pages.
Well, other kids could, I was so baby that I was still using my Mom’s email address and did not know how to put a damn thing on my webpage. Which I did have. But it had like...only frames. It had like 3 words and just me splitting the page into 50 frames because I did not know what I was doing.
I apologize to all the kids in the room who have never seen a web page covered in ugly ass frames. You lucky bastards.
....but Petz...Noah was into PETZ. I can respect him for that.
I still think he’s a little creep-o, but knowing that he hacked his pet has given me a lot of appreciation for his work.
Anyway, it was after Noah changed the boring ass simpleton dog into a much better dog that Gozoboro decided “I have made a monster, I am abandoning my boy.” Which uh...this was the thing?
I mean as far as body horror goes, Litterbox up there is way worse. As far as body horror goes, we also have, Jinzo over here, but the digital dog with a cute robot head was the thing that made Gozoboro say “What have I done!?” The dog is digital, it’s not even alive.
Especially since I feel like the follow up question Noah made was like way more frightening than the dog thing?
Kaiba glazes right over this entire conversation. Like full stop, he didn’t even seem to blink. No part of this story even slightly surprised him, although I will admit, at least Seto has decided that Noah...exists and might in fact be a robot his Father made once. This in itself is a big deal for Kaiba, who has a goldfish memory and denial wider than the sea he’s trapped under.
First of all, congrats to the storyboarder/animator for drawing a hand in that angle, mad respect.
Second of all, this is pretty close to the actual line from the show, Kaiba legit thinks that his Dad wanted Kaiba to be the president, after he knows full well that his Dad was like “Don’t Take Over My Company, You Little Twerp” and then like tried to even send Seto back to the orphanage whence he came. Kaiba’s pretty sure that his Dad wanted that whole thing to happen exactly the way it happened. No regrets. Just family being family.
And Moki’s still chilling on the Moki couch, just kinda taking this all in before he’s summoned unto the field like a playing card.
Ah, yet another person who is like “KILL MEEE” on this show. It’s been kind of a while. Like, who’s left that hasn’t stood in front of a loaded card-gun like this? Duke? Is Duke the only one who hasn’t sacrificed his body for the greater card-good at this point? Is this why Duke is our amoral Chaotic Neutral? Is this why Duke is still the only one who hasn’t died yet (and I’m crossing my fingers still that he’s gonna be our death 169, it can happen, I can believe)?
I feel like this is the season of weird hugs. Like everyone on this show that has hugged has gotten a little weird. The only not-weird hug was when Yugi attempted to hug Joey once and then Joey dodged the hug and wrestled him into an arm-distanced noogie instead--which is technically still not a hug, but the closest we’ve gotten to something a human would do. It is so lucky for our art team that all the huggers are supposed to be hella weird anyway.
Anyway, next episode we get to find out if Noah also had an AIM username or got really into Jelly pens. I can see him getting suuuper into Jelly pens, with hair like that.
Anyway, here’s a link to Season 1 Ep 1 to read in Chrono order, in case you just got here and you’re looking for that.
